How water effects your laundry results Since water plays a major role in laundry operation, it is very important t monitor the quality of water supplied to your laundry. WATER HARDNESS The first factor that we need to monitor is the water hardness which is the calcium & magnesium (Ca/Mg) content; laundry water should not have more than 120 ppm hardness If the water hardness is more than 120 ppm, it is considered very hard water and if it is below 60 ppm,it is considered very soft water. What should you do if the water supplied to your laundry is too hard Install water softener consult TCL Technical Support Department to assist you to set the proper washing formula that match with your water quality. WATER IRON The second factor that we need to monitor is water iron which is the iron content in water (Fe). Usually, we find this problem if water pipes are made of IRON which is very rare to find in new properties. The maximum acceptable range of Fe(iron) content in water is 0.03 mg Fe/Lt., if the percentage is more, it will cause the white linen to become yellowish. What should you do if the water supplied to your laundry has too much iron content Install iron filter, or contact TCL Technical Department to assist you to set washing formula that can remove iron content. WATER PH The third factor that we need to monitor is water pH which should be 7, if the water supplied to your laundry is slightly acidic, then you can reduce the use of sour in the final rinse cycle and increase the dosage of alkaline builder in the pre-wash cycle. And if the water supplied to your laundry is slightly alkaline then you can reduce the usage of alkaline builder in pre-wash cycle and increase the dosage of sour in the final rinse cycle. WATER LEVEL It is very important to make sure to use the proper water level in washing cycle. TCL recommends low water level for washing cycle to increase the mechanical action during the washing cycle. And we recommend high water level in rinsing cycle for proper rinsing and chemicals neutralization. WATER TEMPERATURE TCL recommend the usage of cold water for flushing & rinsing, as many stains can be removed with cold water only. Warm to hot water is recommended for washing & bleaching cycles, before selecting the temperature for your washing cycle. Check the washing recommendations and instruction.
